“THREE BUNCHES OF HANGING TOBACCO LEAVES”


STRAWBERRY JELLO CAKE



An old family favorite.

INGREDIENTS:

1 white cake mix
1 3 oz. package strawberry Jell-O
1 package frozen strawberries
1 container topping like Cool Whip

DIRECTIONS:

Bake cake according to directions. Mix Jell-o with 1 cup warm water. Make several holes in top of cake without going through and then pour Jell-o over cake.
Microwave strawberries until thawed and pour on cake.
Add Cool Whip over all and refrigerate until chilled.
Serve.

I am drying a Pineapple and it is time to take it out of the oven, so have to run. Have a good weekend!

What perfect timing for things strawberry! Next weekend the Strawberry Festival in Farmington will be serving up free ice cream and strawberries in addition to their flea market and carnival. it is a big todo , right on the Des Moines River.

I've been wanting that cake recipe..now that Pillsbury has sugar free cake mixes, my diabetic husband has been bugging me to make him a jello cake like his mom used to make....thanks for refreshing my memory...and please enter me also in the giveaway...love the tobacco leaves....

This cake was done for my wedding reception many years ago. The ladies got creative and used peach jello since my wedding colors were peach and ivory. It was delicious!
